If you’ve dabbled in makeup for a minute, you would have heard of the Milani Baked Blushes*. They’re raved about by almost every beauty nut we know, because they’re that good!
Makeup products can be likened to fad diets. They start off as highly coveted with everyone swearing by them, but eventually they get pushed into the back of our makeup drawers. But as a testament to its incredible formulation, the Milani Baked Blushes have truly stood the test of time, remaining a constant in our everyday makeup routines. The finely milled blushes are a dream, buildable, blendable and long-wearing. There’s not one thing we can fault with this product. The sheen it leaves when swept over the cheeks also gives that glow we’re all obsessed with which means we can skip the step of highlighting, unless we’re feeling extra generous with our sparkle. There are 2 shades we are particularly hearting- Luminoso and Dolce Pink.
Luminoso | This is the one that most people know, and the shade that launched the Baked Blushes into astronomical popularity. Luminoso is a peachy-orange shade that is flattering on most skin tones. It is more subtle than your typical pink hued blush, so we like to pop this on when we’re opting for a more natural look, and when we’re rocking a bold lip or eyes. You can achieve a lovely sheer glow with a light hand, but Luminoso can definitely be built up for a more dramatic flush of colour. However, as it is more of an orange blush, we do advise not getting too carried away.
Dolce Pink | During the warmer months in particular, this medium pink blush is our got to. Dolce Pink appears to have slightly more gold shimmer than Luminoso, but it is far from patchy which is a problem we find with many shimmery blushes. Rather it gives a gorgeous lit from within glow which we are all about! We reach for this when we want to add a pop of colour, especially when we’re wearing nude shadows, which if we’re honest is everyday!

Don’t worry, we were late on the Milani train too! But if you do want to try some of their products, we’d definitely recommend the baked blushes

I have Luminoso & I love it! Such a gorgeous blush. I used to have Dolce Pink as well, but it was a little too pink for my liking so I gave it away. They’re really great products though 🙂

They are! Dolce Pink is very pigmented too, so you have to dust off a bit before applying
