4 HOME DECOR TRENDS WE ARE LOVING

Indoor Plants

There is no denying that the world’s love for indoor plants continues to gain momentum. Our nostalgia for nature, means more of us are bringing the outdoor in, using plants to bring colour, life and personality to our interiors. Like a skincare routine, you will need to do your research. There are hundreds of plant varieties for every aesthetic preference, and each with different care needs. For those who aren’t green thumbed we’d suggest starting simple with succulents or cacti. Although simple, they can add a great flare to your home. Succulents are low-maintenance and require very little watering. They also tend to be much more affordable than out varieties of indoors plants.

Dried florals

Dried florals are having a major moment, and our pick is pampas grass! Pampas is the ultimate long-lasting and low maintenance alternative to indoor plants. They can last up to 3 years, which means forgetful plant mUms can forgo watering and still have a touch of nature in the home!! Their characteristic long stems and delicate, feathery tops come in various sizes and colours, and look their best in a pretty vase on a shelf or to fill in empty spaces.

Rattan

Rattan isn’t just for outdoor furniture anymore. There is no arguing that Rattan automatically transports us to somewhere more exotic, like Morocco or Bali!! We would consider rattan one of the neutrals of interior design. Rattan in its many forms can elevate a muted room, or balance out what may otherwise be a busy interior.

Ceramics

In any shape and size, handmade ceramics are a simple way to bring life to any dwelling of interior space. We like the simplicity of plain ceramic pieces, and although they make beautiful planters or vases,  the right ceramic can also hold its own as a beautiful standalone piece!

What are your favourite interior pieces right now?
