Beige Tortoise

With the sun now making a bright daily appearance, sunglasses have become a compulsary accessory for us. We love the way something so simple can instantly transform an entire outfit. For the last year, we’ve been desperately hunting for new shades to add to our dismal collection with no luck. So when we were contaced by the lovely people at Vision Direct we did not waste any time!

The classic wayfares have been facing some stiff competiton on the sunglassees market of late with all the fashion movers and shakers seemingly taking a liking to round and cat eye frames. Retro shaped shades have been on the top of our list for yonks, but with our petite faces, they all seem to drown us. But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, right?! So after a few hours (yes, hours) scrolling through Vision Direct’s website and their overwhelming range, we hit jackpot and managed to find 2 shades that we are already obsessed with. In today’s, post we’ll be styling 1 of these.

These Vogue Eyewear sungalsesses come in 9 different shades, but we opted for Beige Tortoise because they are a refreshing change from the typical black or brown frames, but still quite neutral. Although, if you look carefully, the edge of the frame is cerulean which adds a quirky pop of colour.

The brown tinted lens on these bad boys are round and reminiscent of the 50s, but it’s the frame which gives them a cat eye finish. If you’re a serial sunglass snapper, then this may be just what you need. The frames are well made and sturdy but still extremely light as a feather, making it the perfect accessory for your bikini when you hit the sand this summer!

I THE OUTFIT I

We call this our lazy sunday outfit which is probably something you’d catch us in if we’re heading to the beach or planning on a no frills, relaxing day. You can pair the shades with something bright and bold, but we like the look of the taupe frames against a crisp white top
