SNOW FOX SOOTHING FACIAL MOUSSE

With sensitive skin, introducing new products into our skincare routine can be like treading on thin ice.

As much as we’d like to sample brands and products willy-nilly, we have a tendency to stick to products we know and brands that are tailored for hyper-sensitive skin. But in the last few years, there has been a minimlist movement, with a push for simpler ingredient lists sans harsh chemicals with impossible names. With this shift, many brands have responded with ranges that are striped back and friendly for sensitive skin types. A relatively young player to the skincare game is Snow Fox. At 6 months old, the organic, cruelty-free skincare brand has recently caught ours and the rest of the beauty world’s attention. Comitted to sourcing quality Australian ingredients, Snow Fox was orginally designed for hyper-sensitive skin. Hearing this instantly peaked our interest. Previously, you could only get your hands on the brand in Switzerland and Asia, but now Snox Fox’s products are available right here in Australia!

Snow Fox is most known for their Arctic Breeze Detox Mask which we have yet to try. However, we have recently added the Soothing Facial Mousse* to our skincare regime both in the am and pm. Just like the rest of the Snow Fox range, the cleaser is gentle and compatiable for all skin types including our fellow sentive skins. As the name suggests, the product is incredibly soothing and refreshing. You can feel the cooling effects of the peppermint oil extract almost immediately. The star ingredient works to brighten and revitalise the skin while providing antimicobral protection. Having used the product for over 2 weeks now, we can safely say that our sensitive skin’s are satisified. Our biggest concern when we first cracked open the cleansing mousse was that it would dry out our skin. Foam cleansers have a reputation for drying out and irritting skin, particuarly those with already dry and sentive skin which is why we’re always careful when it comes to foam skincare. Because of this, foam cleansers are usually recommended for combination to oily skin types. Luckily, the Soothing Facial Mousse debunked our pre-conceptions of foam cleansers. In fact, it does a lovely job of removing impurities without leaving our skin begging for a drink.
