Our locks have always played second fiddle to our skin. Like most, our beauty regime revolves around our biggest organ, our skin. In the past, we may have used a nice shampoo and finished off with a quick condition, but other than that, we did little else. Along with most of the world’s population, we too made a number of new year’s resolutions, and one of those was to show our hair a little more love. So today, we’re put the spotlight on some of our favourite hair care products.
LUSH THE PLUMPS HAIR CONDITIONER
We have experimented with Lush’s massage and moisturizer bars, but this is our first solid conditioner. Made with a blend of sea salt, honey and cedarwood oil, the conditioner leaves a pronounced, yet pleasant woodsy fragrance as well us uber soft tresses. To use any of Lush’s hair conditioner bars, apply and then massage the product into wet, shampooed hair. Allow it to sit for 1-2 minutes before rinsing. Like over 40% off Lush’s other products, The Plumps is also naked, which means less packaging and waste!
ARBONNE HAIR MASK
For a fair while, we’ve been indulging in a weekly face mask, and we thought that it was about time we gave our hair the same VIP treatment. This is probably the star of our newly amped up hair care routine. Filled with a blend of botanicals including spirulina extract, shea butter, soy protein, the mask is suitable for all hair types. 1-2 times a week we massage the mask through wet or towel-dried hair and let it sit for 5-10mins before rinsing it off. We introduced the mask into our hair-care routine about two months ago, and we can confidently say, that our hair has never felt healthier!
This double serum treatment comes with big claims. The patented Filloxane technology is advertised to “thicken and densify to create volume from within the hair fibre”. Now, we can’t way we’ve noticed anything remarkable with the thickness of our hair, but we must say that our hair does feel noticeable smoother the morning after running the treatment through our tresses. The best things about the leave-in conditioner is that you can use it anytime of day without having to rinse it off, and it can be applied to the lengths and ends of wet or dry hair.
