We’ve been on a roll lately in the lippie department. We’ve discovered some absolute gems over the past few months, so we were excited to try *Vanit’s Mineral Lip Definer in Lolitte for the first time. We’ve had this sitting in our ‘to try’ basket for a while now, and feeling in the mood for a dark, nude lip the other day, it was the perfect opportunity for us to finally whip it out.
Packaging | This lip definer is in pencil form which we aren’t the biggest fans of mainly because we don’t like to waste product. Plus, automatic lip liners are also more travel-friendly as it means you don’t need to lug a sharpener around with you.
Pigmentation | Lolitte is a gorgeous warm brown with what looks like an almost metallic finish. The shade is true to the packaging which other brands should take note of! There’s nothing more frustrating than reaching for a lippie on the shelf because we’re drawn to the shade indicated on the sticker/ packaging of the product, only to swatch it and find something completely different.
Longevity | The Mineral Lip Definer wears quite well. It held up and remained opaque until a visit to our favourite sushi joint for lunch. After eating, the liner did leave a slight stain, but you’d definitely need to re-apply if you want to maintain the intensity.
Formulation | The creamy and hydrating formula makes for easy application without any tugging. It can be worn underneath your lipstick to reduce bleeding and extend the longevity of the products layered on top, but we loved the finish of the liner alone, so we decided to forgo lipstick and wore it on its own.
Overall, We definitely recommend Vanit’s Mineral Lip Definer for those looking for the perfect brown liner that is hydrating and relatively long-lasting. Keeping with their ‘eco-glam’ philosophy of “pure luxury for the skin whilst preserving the planet”, the lip definer is also made from natural mineral ingredients and is 100% cruelty free which is great for beauty freaks conscious of the impact the makeup they use has on the environment.
