#THROWBACK | 8 HOURS OF SLEEP IN A POT

The dreaded under eye circles are a daily struggle for many, us included. Brightening concealers are great for lifting the eyes, but they just don’t get the job done when it comes to cancelling out dark circles.  For stubborn dark circles, a salmon concealer is what all beauty nuts swear by, and for a long time now, we’ve sworn loyalty to one particular pot…

This one is an oldie but a goodie, a true #throwback. The NYX Dark Circle Concealer is 8 hours of sleep in a pot, if you get our drift. The salmon concealer cancels out blueish dark circles and any evidence of all-nighters. We’ve found that some concealers claiming to be specifically designed to target under circles are too pink which leaves you looking like you’ve been hit with a bout of hay fever, but this shade is perfect for us. It kills two birds with one stone, brightening our eyes and masking any discolouration.nyx2

The formulation of this concealer is spot on. It’s hydrating, a dream to blend and light on the skin. From time to time, we battle with dryness our under eyes, so a concealer that doesn’t cling or enhance this is what we always look for. We find that applying the product with our ring fingers gives the best results. The Dark Circle Concealer contains a few interesting key ingredients including orange pigment, china clay and coconut oil. The last of these is what makes the product so hydrating and easy to work with.

    1. Those are both our holy grail concealers too! We’d look like walking zombies without them! The Kryolan concealer wheel is perfect when we need heavier duty coverage or for spot concealing, and the age rewind is our go to when we need to brighten under our eyes.
