SHISEIDO EYE BROW PENCIL REVIEW | BEFORE + AFTER

If you follow us on Instagram you’ll know that we recently came back from Japan where we did some damage in their beauty departments. With it being our second visit to the land of the rising sun, we were familiar with some of their makeup and already had our eyes set on a few things before stepping foot on our flight. The obsession with bold, full brows is a big thing in Japan. And from experience, if there’s anyone who does a good brow pencil, it’s the Japanese. So naturally, at the top of our ‘must buy’ list was eyebrow pencils. We managed to pick up 3 in total, but in the last few weeks, there is one in particularly that we have been using to death.

The Shiseido Eye Brow Pencil is hands down one of the best we have tried so far. Unlike it’s automatic counterparts à la the Anastasia Brow Wiz, being a pencil, it can be a little more fiddly and finicky to apply. But the extra time and practise is all worth it.

The formulation is not too creamy which makes it easier to work with. It is slightly harder than other pencils, but this really allows you to create feathery strokes that blend with your actual hairs! The staying power of this product is ah-mazing. We wore it in Japan on days where we were out for 12+ hours and it did not budge. It’s safe to say that we haven’t suffered any half missing eye brow disasters yet.

Dark-haired ladies rejoice! We often struggle to find eyebrow pencils that are dark enough to match our natural brows, but the shade black is p-e-r-f-e-c-t. Many brow products tend to have a lot of red undertones, so you can imagine our excitement when we stumbled upon this little guy. This shade blends seamlessly into our hairs for a natural polished looking brow.

Are there any eye brow products we should try?

  1. Your eyebrows look awesome! I cannot work with a creamy pencil either, I always make a mess and the result is always not so natural! Love it! 🙂
